This book is the beginning. It was first written in 1972 and has been revised three times prepublication in an effort to keep it up to date. Nevertheless, the field of acupuncture medicine has burgeoned so rapidly in the past three years as to render this task almost impossible. This volume represents the thought and practice, not only of myself, my staff and proximal colleagues, but also of other faculties from various sections of the country.
